Doc Bogan, SASS Life #18304, Territorial Gov.Peter is survived by his wife Alice, and three sons Daniel, 13, James, 9 and John, 6Peter spent more than 22 years as a firefighter, on Search and Rescue squad 2 and Squad 252 in Brooklyn, being promoted to lieutenant in 1995. |

A Memorial Shoot was held at the Pine Barrens range in
Westhampton, Long Island, N.Y. in honor of Sidewinder Pete. Money raised at the
event will be presented to Pete's wife and children. The co-hosts for the shoot
were the three Long Island SASS Cowboy Action Shooting clubs - The East End
Regulators, The Hole in the Wall Gang, and The Shadowriders. Lt. Martin was a member of Rescue Company 2 having been transferred from Squad 252 in early 2001. Both companies are highly trained, specialized units part of the 5 Rescue companies and 7 Squad companies in New York. Peter was lost along with 9 of his brothers in the Rescue Company: Tarel Coleman, Ray Downey, William Feehan, Pete Ganci, Timothy Higgins, Tom Kuveikis, Pete Langone, Pat Lyons, and Kevin Prior. |
